The Return of Barrymore

Having been placed as the runner up in the hit Channel 4 series, Celebrity Big Brother, former TV star Michael Barrymore says that he’s going to marry his gay lover.

Mr Barrymore was mired in controversy in 2001 following the death of Stuart Lubbock, who was found with sexual injuries after drowning in Mr Barrymore's swimming pool. Following newspaper revelations, Mr Barrymore fled to New Zealand where he attempted to re-launch his career as a stage actor.

Now he claims he is planning a permanent return to the UK where he is due to re-launch his TV career and settle down with boyfriend Shaun Davies.

The Brad & Angelina show hits the U.K.

The hottest Hollywood couple of the moment, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, were spotted strolling through Heathrow airport with dark glasses in place at the end of a whistle stop stay in London.

Having caused a stir by flashing her tattooed pregnant belly on the way into the capital on Tuesday, screen siren Angelina and new beau Brad checked into Mayfair's Claridges Hotel for the night.

The Ocean's Twelve star then headed out for dinner and a catch-up with old showbiz pals Madonna and Guy Ritchie and Jamie Oliver.

Thames Whale

Office work in London came to a standstill last Friday, as half the city spent the afternoon following the progress of a bottlenosed whale who mistakenly turned left at the Thames Estuary and ended up in central London. Despite a £100,000 rescue operation, it sadly died on Saturday before he could be taken back to the North Sea. As you'd expect, eBayers have swung into action with Thames Whale-related listings. Grab a tribute cross-stitch pattern for £3.75, a commemorative t-shirt for a tenner, the inevitable fridge-magnet for £1.99 and Whale stickers £1.99.

Big Brother House

I'm not surprised that celebs go loopy in the Big Brother house, a friend of mine was in there for an hour before the series started and found that hard to bear.

Jodie Marsh & Michael Barrymore

Just watched Jodie Marsh complaining about how badly she was treated in Big Brother and by the press in general.

Somebody who is only famous for wearing very little clothing and slagging off Jordan, should be grateful that they get the opportunity to be paid for sitting around doing nothing! When Barrymore (who has been turned over by the press more times than anybody!) told her to learn some 'Humility', it clearing fell on deaf ears.
